The Village of Muttontown has a restoration project planned.  As you know, the Preserve is the grounds of a former estate whose house had been razed prior to the County obtaining the property.  Throughout the Preserve, there are remnants of the estate.  One of these is the entrance gates, located at the corner of Route 106 and Muttontown Road.  Currently the bars are bent and rusted, but overall, they have lasted well.  The Village is planning on a restoration of these gates.  If you would like to assist financially, please mail a check to MHA, earmarked "For the Gate" and we will pass your check and name on to the Village personnel.
